Joseph W. Smolinski, age 70, passed away July 13, 2017.   He was born on December 16, 1946 in Toledo.  Joseph graduated from Central Catholic High School and received his degree in pharmacy at the University of Toledo.  He was a dedicated and respected pharmacist at the University of Toledo Medical Center where he worked for 40 years and 10 years part-time after his retirement.
     Joseph was a member of the Greek Society and an avid Notre Dame football fan.   He enjoyed his many trips up north in Manatee and Ludington, Michigan where he went on charter boats salmon fishing.  He also took his Grady White on Lake Erie.  Joseph also adored his many Brittany Spaniels he owned during the years, especially his current companion Arleigh.
    Joseph was preceded in death by his parents.   Surviving is his loving wife and caregiver of 5 years, Charlene; 3 step children; 2 grandchildren; and many unforgotten friends.
    Family and friends may visit on Wednesday, July 19, 2017 from 5:00p.m. until the time of Memorial Services at 7:00p.m. at the W.K. Sujkowski & Son Funeral Home, 3838 Airport Hwy.  Entombment will be private.  Memorial tributes may be directed to the Toledo Humane Society or Cutie’s Fund (410 S. Erie St., Toledo, OH)

R.I.P. Joe My best friend for 40 years. We went to dinner every Tuesday and spent many days fishing on Lake Eria. Also shared many trips to Las Vegas as well as bowling and skeet shooting.
