Theresa M. Kaufman

Theresa M. Kaufman, 85, of Toledo, passed away on May 4, 2022. She was born on March 28, 1937, to Marion and Mary (Filipski) Dziewiatka in Toledo. Theresa began her working career in administrative work for St. Vincent Hospital then took time to be a devoted fulltime mother. While raising her children, she worked part-time at Gesu Parish as the cook for the clergy, retiring in 2000 after 25 dedicated years.  Theresa truly enjoyed cooking, especially her Polish specialties, and cherished the time she spent with her family.

 Theresa was preceded in death by her loving husband, Jon and her parents. She will be dearly missed by her children, Andrew Kaufman, Regina (Frank) Veres and Elaine (Peter) Simon; grandchildren, Ryan Veres, Julianne (Brian) Brown, Alexandra (Kalen) Bloom, and Rachel (fiancée J.D. Robbins) Simon; great grandchildren, Benjamin, Josephine, and one soon-to-be great grandson due in October; sisters, Barbara Duricek, Alice Walasinski, Margaret Johansen, and JoAnn Dziewiatka; and extended family and friends.

 Family and friends may visit on Monday from 2-8:00 p.m., with the recitation of the rosary at 7:00 p.m., at the W.K. Sujkowski & Son Funeral Home, 3838 Airport Hwy. Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, May 10, 2022, with prayers in the mortuary at 10:00 a.m. followed by the Funeral Mass at St. Hyacinth Church at 10:30 a.m. Interment will follow at Resurrection Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be directed to St. Hyacinth Church.
