Evelyn E. Cherry, age 89, passed away on Monday April 30, 2012 at Heartland of Perrysburg where she resided for the past 5 years. Evelyn was born in Toledo on May 20, 1922, the daughter of Paul and Cora (Aumiller) Orlowski. She was a material cutter for Dickies and had also worked for Cole Awning Co. Evelyn was a member of Logsdon Walla Catholic War Veterans Post #639 Auxiliary and Przybylski American Legion Post #642 Auxiliary. She enjoyed knitting and crocheting, playing bingo and doing puzzles of all types.
    Evelyn was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Paul and brothers Hank, Mel, Ed and Clem. She is survived by her sons Joseph (Rae Ann) and Thomas (Cheryl) Cherry; grandchildren Nicholas (Bethanie), Nathan (Shannon), Megan, Kayla and Bailey; great grandchildren Sophie and Adie and sisters Mary Ann (Bob) Burzynski, Beatrice Orlowski and Joan Orlowski.
    Family and friends may visit Wednesday from 2-8 p.m. at the W. K. Sujkowski & Son Funeral Home, 3838 Airport Hwy. where CWV Post #639 Auxiliary will recite the Rosary at 6:30 p.m., followed by Przybylski  A.L. Post #642 Auxiliary services at 7 p.m. Funeral services will begin with prayers at the mortuary on Thursday at 1:15 p.m. followed by the Mass of Christian Burial at 2 p.m. in Little Flower Catholic Church. Entombment at Resurrection Cemetery.
    The family expresses heartfelt thanks to Heartland of Perrysburg for their compassionate care of Evelyn these past few years. Tributes in her memory may be made to St. John’s Jesuit High School, St. Ursula High School or Heartland Hospice.

Rae Ann, Joe, and family,
