Janet and Roger were my good friends in the neighborhood. We got into a lot of mischief. I can remember the game school house,Janet and I played that and had lots of good times. I have stayed in touch with her and called her. We reminisced our good and bad times. We know now her concerns are no longer with her. My the Lord hold her close. She was a very dear friend to me.
God Bless her family at this time.
Nanette and Colin Gates.

To Janet's family: Although it has been over 40 years since I have had any contact with Janet, it is the friends you grow up with that you never truly forget. May God receive her into His loving arms and may she have the final peace that she deserves.
Love, Judy

I worked with Jan many many years ago. Nursing is a calling, a lifestyle, a way of living. It is appropriate to honor my collegue not only during her career, but also at the end of life's journey. I share "The Nightgale Tribute" developed by the Kansas Nurses Association in 2003.
"She Was There"
When a calming quiet presence was all that was needed, she was there.
In the excitement & miracle of birth or in the mystery & loss of life, she was there.
When a silent glance could uplift a patient, family member or friend, she was there.
At those time when the unexplainable needed to be explained, she was there.
When the situation demanded a swift foot and sharp mind, she was there.
When a gentle touch, a firm push, or an encouraging word was needed, she was there.
In choosing the best one from a family's "Thank You" box of chocolates, she was there.
To witness humanity--its beauty, in good times & bad, without judgement, she as there.
To embrace the woes of the world, willingly, and offer hope, she was there.
And now, that it is time to be at the Greater One's side, She is there.
My deepest sympathy to Jan's family and friends.

Jan was a chaperone on Jana's high school trip to New York City and I was one of the teachers. I remember that she wanted her daughter Jana to have the best of life's experiences and to live and enjoy all life has to offer.
