Virginia M. Helminiak, age 84, passed away at Hospice of Northwest Ohio (Toledo) on September 18, 2012.  She was born in Toledo to Frank and Josephine Truchan.
    She was married to Zigmund Helminiak for 48 years.  She had worked for Toledo Building Services for over ten years.  In her free time she enjoyed crocheting, gardening, and shopping.  
    Virginia is survived by her son Michael (Kathy) Helminiak, daughters; Janet, Sandy (James) Merritt, Shirley (Tom) Bourquin, Deborah (Gary) Ulch, grandchildren; Gary Jr., Mark (Shelley), Kevin, Lisa (Jef), Kristy, Beth, Danielle, Kayla, Jay, and great grandchildren; Alexis, Audrey, and J.P. She is preceded in death by her beloved husband Zigmund.
    Family and friends may visit Friday from 2-8 p.m. at the W. K. Sujkowski & Son Funeral Home, 3838 Airport Hwy. where a scripture service will be held at 7 p.m. Funeral services will begin with prayers at the mortuary on Saturday at 9:15 a.m. followed by the Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. in Our Lady of Lourdes  Catholic Church. Interment following at Resurrection Cemetery. Virginia’s family requests that donations in her name be directed to Hospice of Northwest Ohio.
