You were the first to sit by me on the bus when I move from Maumee to Monclova and you gave me advice about the man who eventually became my husband. The world was good with you but heaven is better.

Dear Family; I had the astonishing good fortune of attending class with Mary at Monclova Junior High, and Anthony Wayne High School, where we graduated in 1957. There, she was in the Latin Club, the Theater Antonians, the Girls Athletic Association, and is most remembered in Girls Glee and in Mixed Chorus for her voice in pure tone.

She taught me the lesson that if I am to scribe love letters to her, they must in the very least, be legible! That is a very important lesson for a boy of 13.

According to our senior yearbook, Mary is remembered by her class as COOL, CALM, AND COLLECTED COME WHAT MAY. My memories of her certainly are!
