Adan G. Garcia, a loving husband, dad, grandfather, and most of all, a great human being, age 65, passed away on Thursday, November 22, 2012 at St. Vincent Hospital. He was born on August 6, 1947 in Brownsville, TX to Thomas and Maria (Garza) Garcia.
Adan currently worked at Meijers and also at Amtrax. He was a member of St. Peter & Paul Church for many years. Adan was a big Ohio State Buckeye fan and he also loved the Dallas Cowboys.
Adan was a very caring father who worked hard to provide for his wife and 5 children. Everyone who knew him knows he was a great guy with a big heart and a great sense of humor. When he wasn’t busy working, he enjoyed fixing cars, dancing, listening to tejano music, family cook outs, spending time with his family, and he especially loved the time with his grandchildren.
Surviving is his loving wife of 43 years, Eva (De’leon) Garcia; children, Albert (Tina), Mary (Dennis), Adan Jr. (Janetta), Alex and Alonzo (Melissa); grandchildren, Angela, Clawzelle, Demont’e, Eireanne, Adam, Megan, Erin, Lizzy, Alex Jr., Selena, Sarah and Erica; great grandchildren, Xavier and Emilio; and siblings, Jessie, Reynaldo, Mary, Eva and Juanita. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Thomas Jr., Ruben and Alfredo; grandson, Antonio; and daughter-in-law, Tracy Garcia.
Family and Friends may visit at the W.K. Sujkowski & Son Funeral Home, 3838 Airport Hwy., on Thursday from 4:00 to 6:00 PM where Funeral Services will be held at 6:00 PM. Contributions can be made to the family.
Adan will be greatly missed
but many great memories
that he leaves to the people
who knew him will be
cherished for a lifetime.
