Garland Gary Shaver, age 61, passed away suddenly on Monday November 26, 2012 at his home in Swanton, Ohio. Gary was born January 1, 1951 in Toledo, the son of Garland and Ruth (Morris) Shaver.
    He worked in maintenance for Wal-Mart on Glendale Ave. retiring in December of 2011 due to health problems. Gary liked hunting, classic cars, the holidays, his dogs and especially cherished the time he spent with his family and grandchildren.
    Gary was preceded in death by his parents and is survived by his loving wife Valerie (Detlef) Shaver; daughter Nickie Shaver Burnette; sons Gary Allen Shaver, Timothy (Crystal) Shaver and Matthew Shaver; 11 grandchildren; brother Mark Shaver and sisters Lois Schmidt and Marcia (Jim) Whitten.
    Family and friends may visit on Saturday after 1 p.m. at the Bible Temple, 3327 Airport Hwy. where services will follow at 2 p.m.

To Val & Family.. so saddened to hear of the loss of Gary..remembering with fondness all of the family gatherings at your house..lots of good times for a lot of years...sorry I can''t attend services but have to be at dialysis but my thoughts will be with you and your family in this terrible time...feeling your loss Jim & Colleen Morris

As Gary's manager it was a pleasure working with Gary. He was a hard work and great man. The walmart family will dearly miss him, he was so loved and respected by all associates.

I am so sorry to hear about Gary. I known him since grade school. He was a great man. I also work with him at Wal-mart. You have my condolences, and prayers. You will be miss Gary.
