Genevieve C. Ratkiewicz, 92, of Toledo passed away on March 15, 2012 at Spring Meadows Extended Care Center where she lived the past 3 years. She was born on October 1, 1920 to Stanley and Stella (Aumiller) Topolewski in Holland, Ohio.
    Genevieve was a member of the St. Hyacinth Parish Seniors and enjoyed playing bingo. She was known for her delicious coffee cakes and hand crocheted items. Genevieve cherished the time spent with her grandchildren and great grandchildren, especially when they all attended Toledo Walleye games.  
    Genevieve was preceded in death by her parents, loving husband Eugene and her sisters Esther Augustyniak and Caroline Filas.  She will be dearly missed by her daughters, Pat (Mike) Dembowski and Micki (Eddie) Lentz; sons, Eugene S. (Kathy) and Jeffrey (Kelly) Ratkiewicz; grandchildren Andy (Karen), Danny (Kerry), Brianna, Eric and Emily and great grandchildren Mark, Morgan and Sara.
    Family and friends may visit Sunday from 2-8 p.m. at the W. K. Sujkowski & Son Funeral Home, 3838 Airport Hwy. where Scripture services will be held at 7 p.m. Funeral Services will begin with prayers in the mortuary on Monday at 9:30 a.m., followed by the Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Hyacinth Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Resurrection Cemetery.
    The family extends heartfelt thanks to Spring Meadows and Senior Independence Hospice for the loving care given to Genevieve. Memorial tributes may be made to Spring Meadows Extended Care, Senior Independence Hospice or St. Hyacinth Parish.
