Today I learned that you were gone Jon. My sincere condolences to your love ones and grandchildren. I knew you for too short of time. Jon came into the Vet Center lying in a hospital bed announcing "I want to speak with a veteran." That day began our weekly visits. Jon talked foundly about his grandchildren and how they were the reason he fought so bravely against his illnesses. I came to know Jon the military and civilian man that he was during those visits. Our conversations were precious to me and I hope helpful to Jon. I will miss you Jon and our talks.

I am so sorry that we lost Jon. His gigantic personality and impact on everyone that he knew will be forever in my thoughts. I've known Jon since he was in High School and have always been impressed by his fierce loyalty to his family, friends and country. And of course Ralph. My sincere condolences to his family, especially the grandchildren that he loved so very much. We'll all miss Jon.
