Joseph J. Tucholski, age 84, of South Toledo, passed away peacefully on Monday October 14, 2013 at the Northwest Ohio Hospice Center in Perrysburg. Joseph was born in Toledo on March 5, 1929, the son of Frank and Mary Tucholski. He worked in the maintenance department of Prestolite Corp. and was a self-taught heating and cooling expert. Joseph enjoyed bowling and golf and had the distinction of scoring a hole-in-one. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War and was a member of the Catholic War Veterans Logsdon Walla Post #639. Joseph was a loving husband and father and always met everyone with a smile and something funny to say.

Joseph was preceded in death by his parents, infant son Gregory, brother John and sisters Dorothy Osinski and Pearl Tucholski. He is survived by his loving wife of 63 years Delores (Spychala); son Gary; sister Alice Siwa and numerous nieces and nephews.

Family and friends may visit Friday from 3-8 p.m. at the W. K. Sujkowski & Son Funeral Home, 3838 Airport Hwy. where the Rosary will be recited by CWV Post #639 at 7 p.m. Funeral services will begin with prayers at the mortuary on Saturday at 9:15 a.m. followed by the Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery. The family prefers tributes be made to Hospice of Northwest Ohio or a charity of the donor’s choice.

The family expresses heartfelt thanks to the staffs at Lutheran Village at Wolf Creek and especially Hospice of Northwest Ohio for the compassionate care given to Joseph during his illness.
