Alice E. (Tucholska) Siwa’s life changed on February 1, 2014.
According to the Catechism of the Catholic Church #1282, “Entry into Christian life gives access to true freedom.” Furthermore, CCC #1275, states “Christian initiation is accomplished by three sacraments together: Baptism, which is the beginning of new life; Confirmation, which is it’s strengthening and the Eucharist, which nourishes the disciple with Christ’s Body and Blood for his transformation in Christ.” CCC #1285 specifies “Confirmation is necessary for the completion of baptismal grace.” Holy Eucharist completes Christian initiation as per CCC #1322. Alice’s physical death in Christ’s grace completes her baptisms “dying with Christ” and so completes her incorporation into him in his redeeming act. CCC # 1010 For those who die in Christ’s grace it is a participation in the death of the Lord, so that they can also share his Resurrection. CCC # 1006 Like Alice at home with the Lord, let us strive to complete our sacraments in avoidance of eternal damnation and anticipation of eternal life.
Alice is survived by daughter Ruth Clouse; sons David (Sandra) Siwa and Patrick Siwa; grand-son, Brian Siwa; grand-daughter, Catherine DeSelms (Cathrina). At this moment please pray with Alice for the gift of faith for all her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and their families. Alice was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Mary Rose (Majerowska) Tucholski; husband Walter; daughter Patricia; brothers John and Joseph Tucholski; sisters, Pearl Tucholska and Dorothy Osinski.
