Dear Mrs. Matuszynski and Kathy,
I am sorry for your loss, but remember he will live on in your memories of him. You have my sympathy and extra prayers during this time of loss.
Kathy - I have memories of spending time at your house when we were in grade school. My mom would say she liked meeting the 'younger' parents. I remember them being kind to my parents and helping my dad, Ollie, out at the beer booth at the church festivals - boy that was a long time ago. I would occasionally run into your parents at the Kroger's on Monroe Street but that had to be more than 7+ years ago, it was nice to see them again after all those years.

I guess everyone has a hero, but I believe everyone should know that Jerry was certainly my hero. Jerry saved my life 58 years ago after I dove into shallow water on Lake Erie in Port Clinton Ohio. That's right, I broke my neck, and somehow Jerry could tell something was wrong. He put the back of my head on his chest, and with both of his arms under mine, he pulled me about 80 feet to the beach. Because of his heroism, I am still alive today. His wife Rhoda, was with us that day. I will remember Jerry in my prayers until the Lord calls my name and Jerry and I will meet once again.
