On Friday, June 27, 2014, angels came and wrapped their arms around Rose T. Biscard and said “come with us” at Hospice of Northwest Ohio in Perrysburg, OH.  Rose was born on February 18, 1925 to Adam and Veronika (Adamkiewicz) Jozefowicz in Toledo, OH.  As a child she belonged to St. Stanislaus Church and attended Central Catholic High School until the death of her mother, then had to stay home to raise her 3 younger siblings while her older siblings worked or served our country in the military.
Rose met the love of her life, Virgil, and they were married on May 28, 1949.  They celebrated 38 years of marriage until his death in 1987.    Rose had worked at Pinkertons Tobacco Co. and Lehn & Fink.  She was a member of the Commodore Club Auxiliary, A.L. Przybylski Post 642 Auxiliary, St. Charles Church and their Rosary & Altar Society, and was a volunteer with the Satellites of MCO in the gift shop and many small organizations.
Rose loved traveling, went on many cruises with family & friends, visiting casinos, and even went on a trip to Rome.  She also loved camping with family and bus trips with friends.  Rose loved to read Danielle Steel novels, putting together puzzles and playing cards games especially ‘Skipbo’.
Rose was preceded in death by her loving husband Virgil; parents; mother and father-in-law Andrew and Virginia (Okonski) Biscard; brothers, Chester, Roman, Leonard, Louis, David, and Dominic Jozefowicz; sister Dorothy Hojnacki and baby sister; great granddaughter Julia Rose Nowacki;.
She will be dearly missed by her daughters Cynthia (Patrick) Wcislek, Rosanne (Mark) Nowacki and Dianne (Terry) Stevens of TN; son, Andrew Biscard; grandchildren Robin McGranahan, Bryant McGranahan, Adam (Jami) Wcislek, Joseph (Jamie) Nowacki, Justin (Andrea) Wcislek, Nicholas Nowacki, Lindsey Biscard, Jeanie Biscard; 12 great grandchildren; 3 great great grandchildren; sisters Theresa Ingraham and Virginia Kucinski.
Family and friends may visit on Sunday from 2-8p.m. with scripture services at 7:00p.m. at the W.K. Sujkowski & Son Funeral Home, 3838 Airport Hwy.   A Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, June 30, 2014 at St. Charles Borromeo Church at 10:00a.m. where family and friends may visit after 9:00a.m.   Interment will follow at Ottawa Hills Memorial Park.
Memorial contributions may be directed to Hospice of Northwest Ohio or a charity of the donor’s choice.  The family would like to express a special thank you to Dr. Timothy Mattison for all of his care, Perrysburg Commons assisted living nurses, aides and staff, Heartland Nursing and Hospice Care and especially Hospice of Northwest Ohio the nurse ‘angles’ and staff for the past 2 months for their loving care for Rose and support for the family during this difficult time.   And to “Juno” the Hospice therapy dog who knew when we needed a smile by his visits to mom’s room.

My mom Elizabeth Prisby, and myself Lynnette Bordeaux are so sad to hear about the passing of "Aunt" Rose. I have such fond memories of her coming to California with Cindy for Cindy's graduation from High School. We had such a great time touring around the area and going to The Hotel Del Coronado. My mom and I want to express our sympathy and wish the best to the family who I know will also have a hole in their hearts for mom and grandma. Sending loving thoughts and prayers from afar.
