Words do not come easy when someone like Alvin Tafelski passes away. He was a proud unsung hero who served his country proudly, a man who raised a fantastic family, and a devoted Catholic who supported his Church and community. I have always considered Al to be one of the nicest, kindest people I ever encountered. I fondly remember warm holidays at the Tafelski home and long discussions about electronics. Al was always supportive, overly gracious and never spoke negatively about anyone. He served as a role model for me and helped me rekindle my faith. I find it difficult to convey the sorrow in my heart, I can only take comfort in the words he used to tell me “everything will be ok Jimmy”. Al and his family will be forever in my prayers.

Kathy & Larry,
What fond memories I have of Al as we were growing up with our two Polish Dads! They were patient chauffeurs to our crazy teen girl group. My sympathies to you and your families, and rest in peace Al1
