David K. Bak
1/25/57 – 12/20/15

David K. Bak, 58, passed away in his sleep on December 20th, 2015 joining his parents Harry and Joan (Krispin) Bak, in eternal life. David leaves behind his children, Andrew Bak and Jenna Bak. Also surviving are sisters Linda Rogers and Melissa Nawrocki; many cousins; his nephews and niece and their children who greeted him with hugs and shouts of “Uncle Dave!”
He was a millwright at Daimler Chrysler, retiring in 2009 after 30 years. Dave was an exemplary baseball and basketball player at St. Francis DeSales High School where he will forever hold the “asterisked” record for the most points in a single game (40 in1975) as the 3 point shot rule was not yet implemented. Dave was also an avid golfer, enjoying tournament travels, and of course rooting for the Phillies and his Celtics! Shout out to his many close friends and Jeepers, who he so enjoyed spending time with.
A Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, January 30th, 2016 at 10 am at St. Patrick of Heatherdowns Catholic Church, 4201 Heatherdowns Blvd. Interment will be private

Rest in Peace Dave. They say the golf balls fly straighter and farther in Heaven. Say hi to your Mom and Dad, and if you happen to see my Dad, have a beer with him for me.

I remember David's being an outstanding basketball player with diverse skills and a great attitude. I know that more importantly, he was a an outstanding man. You have my deepest sympathy at David's passing; I wish you peace as you grieve his loss...Ed Heintschel
