Bob was also a valued member of Bowsher’s Chess Team, outgoing, encouraging, and funny, and an engaged, very able student of history and government. After college, despite medical challenges, Bob maintained interest in the well-being of others and was a good friend. I will miss our visits.

Bob and I have been friends since eight grade. We met during the teachers’ strike, playing euchre and continued to be euchre partners for years to come. He was always kind and considerate of others. He never wanted to burden or inconvenience others. He will be sorely missed.

My condlences to Robert's family. I always thought of him as a gentle giant. Robert was always humble and occasionally self-deprecating, but continued to work on bettering himself. I will miss him. Robert was a great example of someone overcoming, what would present to most people, as insurmountable obstacles in life. I believe he can be at peace now, and I pray that his soul is in a better place. Kind Regards, Glen Witt
