Edna May Jastrzemski (nee Roadwiler), age 88, passed away on November 1, 2016 at the Brookdale Assisted Living facility in Stow, Ohio. Previously, May had lived her entire life in the south Toledo area.
  She was preceded in death by her husband Norman, in 1974; her sister Ruth (Leo) Kubacki; her parents Edward and Freda (Repp) Roadwiler and father and mother- in-law Frank and Clara Jastrzemski.
  May was employed at Libbey High School as a secretary after her graduation from Libbey in 1946. She worked at Libbey for many years, where she met many of her dearest friends. After the birth of her son, May was employed at Glendale Elementary School and Glendale-Fielbach Elementary School until her retirement. She was also employed at National Family Opinion research organization. She enjoyed working with young people her entire life.
  Surviving are her son, Dr. Edward (Tina) Jastrzemski and grandchildren Edward Norman, Catherine Marie, and Christopher Francis Jastrzemski, all of Stow, Ohio. May had many “nieces and nephews” over the years in the Toledo area who referred to her as “Aunt May”. Thank you to everyone who made her life joyful.
  Services will be private after cremation. Donations in May’s memory may be made to the Disabled American Veterans, St. John’s Jesuit High School, or to the Toledo Zoological Society.

We were saddened by this announcement. I wondered why our Christmas cards came back. She was a great neighbor to a very young, newly married couple. Our deepest sympathy to her son and his family.

I am so sorry to learn that May has passed away. She was always so interested in what was happening with the Glendale-Feilbach people after she moved away from Toledo. I'll miss our visits.
