Robert J. Spychala, age 65, of Luna Pier, MI, passed away on November 29, 2016.   He was born on May 22, 1951 to Martin and Dorothy (Montz) Spychala in Toledo.  Robert worked for Acklin Stamping, a division of Tecumseh Products, for 30 years.  After his retirement from Acklin, Robert worked as a professional truck driver.   He was a member of U.A.W. Local 12 where he was a past chairman and he was a member of Circle 8.  Robert was an avid OSU fan, enjoyed traveling with his RV and he was a fantastic cook, with goulash being a family favorite.
   Robert was preceded in death by his parents; grandparents, Martin and Helen Spychala, Casper and Mary Montz; brother, Mark Spychala; aunt, Esther Viens; uncles, Eugene Montz and James Spychala; step-mother, Nancy Spychala.  Surviving are former wife, Linda Spears; step-children, Robin (Mitch) Ely and Kelly (Phil) Douglas; siblings, Michael Spychala, Mary Jo (Bob) Zeisloft, Sue (Cappy) Spychala , and Scott (former wife Karin) and their daughter Helena Spychala; aunt, Pat Sypchala; and 7 cousins.
   Family and friends are invited to a Celebration of Life service on Monday, December 5, 2016 at Scott Park Banquet Room (2541 Nebraska Ave., Toledo, OH 43607) at 1:00p.m., immediately followed by fellowship.  Memorial contributions may be directed to Monroe County Animal Control Shelter (911 S. Raisinville Rd., Monroe, MI 48161).

We are going to miss Bob he was our neighbor across the water. Always loved his animals.Family has our Sympathy!

Spychala Family,
Bob was a great guy as you all know. When we were teenagers he was always looking
out for us as teenage sisters. We couldn't of asked for a better guardian back then.
Now God called upon Bob to become guardian angels for others.
