Beverly L.  Zawodny, age 82, passed away peacefully on July 14, 2017 at the Lakes of Monclova.  She was born on August 10, 1934 to John and Uva (Butler) Walters in Toledo, OH.  Beverly worked as a pension clerk for Jeep, retiring in 1991 after 33 dedicated years.  She was a member of the U.A.W. Local 12. Beverly loved the many years she spent at Bird Lake; slow boat rides and reading books.
   Beverly was preceded in death by her husband Gerald (Doc); her parents; and brother Mervyn Walters.  She will be dearly missed by her children, Kathie (Dennis) Gorney, Geri Zawodny and Jim (Mary) Zawodny; grandchildren, Alisa, Haley, Riki, Mia, James II, Becca and Sophie; great grandchildren, Peyton and Corey; brother Robert Walters; and sister Shirley Rankin; and many extended family and friends.
  Family and friends may visit at the W.K. Sujkowski & Son Funeral Home, 3838 Airport Hwy., on Saturday, July 22, 2017, from 9:00a.m. until the time of Funeral Services at 12:00p.m. with Deacon Joe Knapke officiating.  Entombment will be private.  Memorial tributes may be directed to the Dementia Society of America or Trinity Lutheran Church in Hillsdale, MI.

Kathie, Geri and Jimmy: I am so very sorry to hear about your mom's passing. I have so many great memories of your mom and dad, and miss them very much. I'm sorry I won't be able to join you for the funeral services, but you will be in my thoughts and prayers on Saturday. Love, Annette McKean

Sorry I couldn't make it Sat. had other commitments. Kathie, Geri, and Jimmie, miss you all and you parent. Remember skiing with you at Bird Lake and you dad Doc always giving me a hard time. Which I still lived their devorce was rough. Remembering the great times with you, your mother was always nice to me. Will be greatly missed.
