James graduated from Macomber High School, and went on to serve in the U.S. Marines from 1961-1965.  He was stationed at Quantico, Virginia, and traveled all over the world while in the service.  James worked at Champion Spark Plug for 25 years, and Jeep for 15 years.  He enjoyed fishing, gambling, and spending time with his family.  James was an avid Ohio State fan, and never missed an episode of The Walking Dead.    He was an amazing dad and grandpa, and always put everyone before himself.
James was preceded in death by his parents.  He will be dearly missed by his wife of 50 years, Bonnie (Lewandowski); daughters Kim (Steve) Stambaugh and Melissa (Rick) Bragg; grandchildren Kaitlyn, Eric, Nick, Chase, Noah, and Gabrielle; and extended family and friends.
Family and friends may visit Sunday, August 6 from 2-8 PM at the W.K. Sujkowski & Sons Funeral Home, 3838 Airport Hwy, where the Rosary will be recited at 7PM.  Funeral services will begin with prayers at the mortuary on Monday, August 7 at 10AM, followed by the Funeral Mass at 10:30AM at St. Patrick of Heatherdowns Church.  Interment, with military honors, will follow at Calvary Cemetery.  A funeral luncheon will be held at St. Pat’s Holy Family Center after the services.

Our sympathy is extended to all members of the family. Jim will truly be missed. He was a friend of ours for over 40 years and we shared many fun times with him and Bonnie over the years. Memories will now help to sustain all of us during this difficult time.
