Richard J. Kina, age 86, passed away on Thursday November 30, 2017. Dick was the son of John and Helen (Tafelski) Kina and was born in Toledo on August 14, 1931. He was a carrier 31 years for the U.S. Postal Service, mainly at Station C, and he retired in 1986. Dick was an avid bowler up into his eighties, and scored his first 300 at age 69. He was a member of the Senior Travelling League. Dick loved to fish and made his own lures. In his younger years he was a baseball coach for St. Hyacinth’s in the 14th Ward League.  
  Dick was preceded in death by his parents; son Joseph and brother Robert. He is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Patricia (Bilius) Kina; sons David (Melissa) and Thomas (Kelly) Kina; daughter Sally (Richard) Ruhnau; sister Joanne Antoszewski; grandchildren Luke Pierce, Nicolas, Maryellen, Michael and Timothy Kina and numerous friends.
  The Funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday December 5, 2017 in Christ the King Catholic Church where friends may visit after 9:00 a.m. Entombment will follow at Resurrection Cemetery Memorial tributes may be directed to Ebeid Hospice or Christ the King Parish.
