Katherine A. Swiczkowski, age 74, passed away on Easter Sunday, April 1, 2018.  She was born on November 21, 1943 to Stephen and Mary Ellen (Navarre) Swiczkowski.
Kathy spent her life, while enjoying both, working hard and spending time with her family.  She began her career at Lion Store, she spent many years at Riverby Hills Country Club, followed by Meijer, and most recently Walmart.  She loved babysitting her great grandchildren.  Katie loved her ‘babies’ and going to all of their activities; softball, volleyball, basketball, and plays.  She especially enjoyed their many outings together; walking Southwyck Mall with Samantha, millions of trips with Stephanie to pet stores, dinners at McDonalds, and lunches at Target.  Her granddaughters and great grandchildren were her everything.
She will be dearly missed by her mother, Mary Ellen; her daughter and son-in-law, Mary (Brad) Fawcett; her granddaughters, Samantha (Samuel) Hemmert and Stephanie Fawcett (Troy Capron); and great grandchildren, Lizzie, Ben, and Emma Hemmert.  She was preceded in death by her father, Stephen Sr. and brother, Stephen Jr.
Family and friends may visit on Thursday from 2-8:00 p.m. at the W.K. Sujkowski & Son Funeral Home, 3838 Airport Hwy.   A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, April 6, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. Our Lady of Lourdes Church (where she was a lifelong member).  Burial will follow at Resurrection Cemetery.   In lieu of flowers, please consider memorial tributes towards her great grandchildren’s college fund.
