Richard L. Wheeler, age 82, of Toledo, passed away on January 15, 2019.  He was born on May 4, 1936 to Homer and Mary (Grant) Wheeler in Toledo.  Richard worked for Chrysler, retiring after 34 years of dedicated work.  Richard was a member of the U.A.W. Local 12, Toledo Fort Industry, and a Free Mason 32nd Degree, Lodge 144.  One of his favorite hobbies was wood working and pitching horseshoes.  Richard was also very proud of his 49 years of sobriety along with the help of AA.
  Richard was preceded in death by his sons, Richard D. and Randy; brother, Robert; sister, Dorothy Kennedy; grandson, Daniel Wheeler; and great granddaughter, Paisley Litten.  Surviving is his loving wife of 64 years, Gearaldene (Beaverson); children, Glenn (Judy) Wheeler, Debra (Dana) Razook and David (Terri) Wheeler; brother, Edward (Daisy) Wheeler; 9 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; daughter-in-law, Catie Wheeler; sister-in-law, Sue Wheeler; brother-in-law, Chuck Kennedy; and many extended family members.
  Family and friends may visit on Monday from 2-8:00 p.m., with Mason Services at 7:00p.m., at the W.K. Sujkowski & Son Funeral Home, 3838 Airport Hwy.    Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, January 22, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. in the Funeral Home with visitation beginning after 11:00 a.m.   Interment will follow at Toledo Memorial Park Cemetery.  The family would like to express a special thank you to the staff at the Lakes of Sylvania and Promedica Hospice for all their compassionate care and support.
