The morning of Tuesday, September 10th, 2019 Sydney Picolo (Tina) released her spirit at the age of 61 back to the universe. She was born to Chuck and Sally Picolo in 1958.
Shortly after graduating from Whitmer high school in 1976, she moved to Arizona. Before long, her adventurous Spirit found her way to Alaska where she landed a job with the University of Alaska. Along her journey she became involved with the Palace Saloon playing piano for the live comedy shows they put on. She took advantage of the opportunties Alaska had to offer, fishing, camping, enjoying the northern lights and just being thankful for living in such a beautiful place. However, she eventually found her way back to Arizona. There she worked for several law firms as a legal assistant, loving her work and taking pride of a "job well done".
Once again, she found herself back in Fairbanks and lived there for approximately 10 years before she made the big decision to move back to her home, Toledo.
She was so happy to reconnect with old friends and the cousins she grew up with. After taking some needed time off and getting settled in with the help, love and support of her cousins, she found a job she loved with Anspach Law as a Legal Assistant; making new friends along the way.
She enjoyed playing her piano, going to the lake, watching baseball, playing pool, snuggling with her beloved cat, Boo.
Syd is survived by her loving feline companion, Boo;  sisters Candace Webb and  Toni Howe; brother Craig Picolo; loving cousins, John, Mike and Pat; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation will be held Monday, September 16, 2019 at W.K. Sujkowski & Son Funeral Home, 3838 Airport Highway at 12:00 p.m. until the time of services at 2:00 pm. in the mortuary.  A wake will follow the funeral services at Scott Park Banquet Room.

Always loved your pictures from Alaska, your point of view on things & your one of a kind personality. Glad I was able to see you since you came back to Toledo. I will never forget going to my first concert with you and Luann in 8th grade! Rest In Peace Sydney.

An old friend taken too soon - so many memories of you and your family back in the 70's. You will always be Tina to me - the girl next door who loved to play the piano. Rest in peace sweet girl.
