Karen Ann (HardenBrook) Seger, 70, of Toledo, OH met her Savior face to face on December 10, 2019. She was born on July 12, 1949 in Toledo, OH to Dalice and Joyce (Woodruff) HardenBrook.

As a registered nurse Karen was deeply motivated by the Great Commission given by Jesus and spent a part of her life traveling to different nations of the world - including Bulgaria, Yugoslavia, Jamaica, and Haiti – to spread the Gospel and help those less fortunate than herself. When she settled back in the United States she gave herself to her nursing career, working mostly as a dialysis nurse. She married the love of her life, Larry Seger, on March 1st, 1997 . In her retired years she enjoyed sewing, quilting, volunteering at WLMB and ProclaimFM, and spending time with family and friends.

Surviving her are her sisters, Linda HardenBrook, Beth (Tom) Compton, Brother Gary (Patti) HardenBrook, Niece Rebeckah (Randy) Szmansky, Cousins Dave LeJeune, Ann (Jack) Homan, Nancy Randall, and numerous others, Step-children Larry Jr., Jeff, Richie, Cindy, Christina, Grandchildren Brittany, Rob, Jessica, Maddie, Joe, Great-Grandchildren Noah, and 2 on the way.
Karen is preceded in death by her parents, husband, sister Joan (Mike) Sterns, and cousin Linda-Kate LeJeune.

Visitation will be on Saturday, December 21 at Holland Free Methodist church from 11a-1p with a memorial service at 1pm. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to WLMB.

Our sincere condolences to the HardenBrook and Seger families. The Houck family will not be able to attend the memorial service for cousin Karen on 12/21 due to a previously arranged Holiday event...however, know that our thoughts are with your family on that day.

So sorry to hear of Karen's passing. I worked with Karen for many years at Westgate and Central Dialysis. She was such a sweet caring nurse! She truly loved God and her family… rest peacefully in Heaven.
