James B. Drozdowicz, 57, of Holland, passed away on March 12, 2021 after a long battle with cancer.
Jim was born on August 28, 1963 to Alfred “Hank” and Virginia Drozdowicz in Toledo. Jim proudly served his country in the United States Army and was a dedicated plumber and pipefitter for 30 years.  He was a former member of the V.F.W. Frankowski Post, P.N.A., and PRUCA.
Jim was an avid fan of the Cincinnati Reds, Minnesota Vikings, the Toledo Mudhens and especially loved Ohio State University and the Toledo Rockets. His favorite place was the ocean, jumping the waves. Jim loved whole-heartedly and always looked out for everyone first before himself. He was the original guy to take his shirt off his back for someone.
Jim cherished the time he spent with his family, especially with his wife, his two outstanding children, and his faithful canine companion, Milo.
James was preceded in death by his parents, father-in-law, John Kalisz; and nephew, Andrew Drozdowicz. Surviving is his loving wife of 28 years, Jeanene Kalisz; children, Michele and Nicholas; siblings, Michael (Diane), Dennis, Don (Mary Jo), Sandy (Guy) Ingram, and Larry (Kay); mother-in-law, Kathy Kalisz; nieces and nephews; and many great nieces, nephews and dear friends.
Visitation with social distancing will be held at W.K. Sujkowski & Son Funeral Home, 3838 Airport Hwy. (please wear you Ohio State colors for visitation in honor of Jim) on Tuesday from 2:00 to 8:00 P.M, with a Scripture Service at 7:00 p.m. Funeral Service will be on Wednesday March 17, 2021, with a prayer in the funeral home at 10:30 A.M. and Mass at Little Flower Church at 11:00 A.M. Interment to follow at Resurrection cemetery with Military Honors.
Please consider memorial tributes to the Toledo Area Humane Society.

The world has lost a great man! I was blessed to catch up with him years after graduation and each time we hugged it was like the old days! I am proud to be known as his "twin" and will miss that ever lasting smile! Rest in peace my friend and thank you for always being that great person to everyone you met!

Papa Droz was an amazing person and was like a father to me. I have not experienced such heartache like this before, but I know he is in a better place now. I am so sorry Mama Droz, Nick, and Michelle; I can not imagine what this must feel like for you all. The memories I have with all of you and Papa Droz will live on forever, and I will continue to cherish everything he has ever done for me.

Jim was one of the nicest player I ever coached. He liked baseball and I sure enjoyed being his baseball coach at Woodward. I will always think of him as a good guy.

I am sorry to hear of the loss of Jame. I met him at Michigan speedway when I was just a small time. For years we had great times at the races with James, my dad and all of his friends. James was always so nice to everyone, even though I was a little kid he would often joke around and stand up at the fence with me and watch the races. We had lost touch over the years, especially after my fathers passing. In the last couple years we connected on Facebook and I leaned on him heavily for advice and kind words of support while we both fought our cancers. It breaks my heart that the world lost such a kind and caring man so young. For his family i am sorry for your loss and I hope that you can take splice in the fact that he is no Longer in pain. I will continue our fight from here; until we meet again.
