James Robert Pacer, 86, of Toledo, a devoted husband and father passed away peacefully on May 3, 2021.
   He was born on September 25, 1934 to Aloysius and Stephanie (Roszak) Pacer in Toledo. James was a Fireman for the Toledo Fire Department at Station #4 where he retired after 33 dedicated years. He enjoyed traveling to Florida with Alice where they spent many winters together. He was a member of the Catholic War Veteran Logsdon-Walla Post 639 and enjoyed golfing.
   James was preceded in death by his parents; infant daughter, Janet; and brothers, Tom and Dave. He will be dearly missed by his loving wife of 63 years, Alice (Mikolajczyk) Pacer; children, Susan (Michael) Mason, Alan (Tina) Pacer and Karen (Tom) Dille; 8 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; sister’s-in-law, Barb and Ginny Pacer; and extended family and friends.
   Services will be held on Saturday, May 15, 2021 at the Most Blessed Sacrament Church.Visitation with social distancing will be held at 10:00 a.m. with a Funeral Mass to follow at 11:00 a.m. where you can view at, blessedsacramenttoledo.com/  Entombment will follow at Resurrection Cemetery.
   In lieu of flowers memorial tributes may be directed to The Cherry Street Mission or The Toledo Firefighters Museum.
