My deepest condolences , Having the privilege to grow up next door to Julie and her family was great for my family. - I love her 4 girls and her son. No one could be kinder to my mother then Julie , and all my childhood memories are all good about how our families bonded thru the lost are fathers at early age .. and we survived with strong mothers like Julie - I love all of you , and loved your Mom !! Julie was 5 years my senior growing up on Whitehawk Estate in Brighton, England, she was my idol.  I would watch her walk past my house as she was coming home from work, smartly dressed in nice clothes and high heels - I always wanted to be just like her.   When Julie got married and moved to the US I used to picture myself doing the same thing one day.  Well it happened, I got married in1962 and left for Texas. I too was very proud to become an American citizen.   Julie and her sister Phyllis came to visit me around 1967 with a car load of kids, I had just one.  Soon after that we lost touch, the family moved to Toledo.  Fast forward to 2015 and advanced technology, I located her, called her and it was so special.  Around that time though, and I didn’t know it, Julie had onset dementia and over time it got worse.  I know when I talked to her she couldn’t remember who I was, it was sad - I had gone through that with my mother, devastating.   Last year Julie’s daughter Sarah tracked me down on FB and told me her momma was in a nursing home.  We became FB friends and I got to see sweet pictures and videos of Julie, thank you Sarah for being so thoughtful.   Rest In Peace my sweet idol Julie, I will always remember you fondly and will see you in heaven one of these days.

Wow, where do I begin... this wonderful woman molded me into the woman I am today and I know I have so much more to prove and do, but with her advice and guidance I know I'll make her proud. My Granny was a treasure and if you had the pleasure to know her and be a part of her life count yourself lucky. She's taught us all so very much, but her one liners are a rare treat!
Punch it Mabel..... or Buckle up For Safety..... will always be used in my household 💜 I love this woman with all my heart and not a day will go by and I won't think about her! She was our rock!! LOVE YOU BUNCHES GRANNY!!! I promise I'll make you proud!!
