Delphine P. Deca, age 96, affectionately known as Pat, passed away peacefully in her sleep on April 18, 2022, at St. Clare Commons. She was born in Toledo, OH on November 24, 1925, to Stella (Gruszczynski) and Ignatius Adamski and was a graduate of Whitney High School. She was married to Melvin Deca, and the loving couple celebrated 55 years of marriage before his passing. They were both active parishioners of St. Hyacinth Catholic Church, and together they raised their 3 children. Pat was a homemaker and was devoted to her family. She enjoyed cooking and baking, and her homemade pierogies and Christmas cookies were a true labor of love. She also enjoyed sewing, crocheting, and even getting out to do a little gambling, but most of all she loved spending time with her family. Her positive, fun loving outlook, and graciousness will be greatly missed.
She is preceded in death by her parents and husband; siblings Louis, Alexander, Virginia (Mruk), Helen, Theodore, Dorothy (Mruk), Gertrude (Domanowski); son-in-law Michael Beakas; daughter-in-law LaMerle Deca. She is survived by her children, Jim, Ron (Cindi), and Sandy (Beakas). As well as 8 Grandchildren and 10 Great-Grandchildren with another on the way.
Family and friends may visit at the W.K. Sujkowski & Son Funeral Home, 3838 Airport Hwy., on Thursday from 4-8:00 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, April 22, 2022, at All Saints Church, Rossford, Ohio, at 10:00 a.m. where friends may visit after 9:30 a.m. Interment will take place at a later date.
