Donald P. Hamilton, age 75, of Toledo, passed away on October 23, 2016. He was born on December 14, 1940 to Joseph and Martha Hamilton in Toledo. Don worked as a brick layer for 40 years for Local 3 and Local 1. He was an active member of the Maumee Eagles.
Don was a hockey enthusiast, dedicating much of his time to the sport including coaching at E.L. Bowsher High School for 22 years, where they won the 1988-1989 City Championship. And he ch erished the time he spent with his grandchildren and watching them play their sports.
Don was preceded in death by his parents. He will be dearly missed by his loving wife of 57 years, Nancy (Bielicki); children, Dawn (Joe) Dybala, Mark (Stephanie) and Don ‘Chic’ Jr. (Angie) Hamilton; grandchildren, Joey (Erin), Andrew, Christopher, Mark Jr., Michael, Matthew, Jamie and Jake; brother, Robert (Ellen) Rinehart; sisters, Lynn (Rich) Rios and Debbie Metzger; and nieces and nephews.
Family and friends may visit on Thursday from 2-8:00p.m. at the W.K. Sujkowski & Son Funeral Home, 3838 Airport Hwy., where Funeral Services will be held on Friday, October 28, 2016 at 11:00a.m. with Rev. Greg Peatee officiating. Entombment will follow at Resurrection Cemetery.
