Edward "Eddie" J Popiela

   Edward J. Popiela, 89, of Swanton, passed away on November 17, 2021. He was born on July 12, 1932, to Joseph and Anna Popiela in Toledo and was the youngest of 12 siblings.

   Eddie worked for the Railroad, retiring after 30 years. He was active with the Arbor Day organization and World Wildlife Fund. Eddie enjoyed collecting trains, gardening, watching westerns, travelling, car rides, fishing and playing cards.

 Edward was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Richard Popiela; and sister, Gertrude Bagrowski. He will be dearly missed by nieces and nephews, and several great and great great nieces and nephews.

 Family and friends may visit on Sunday from 2-6:00 p.m. at the W.K. Sujkowski & Son Funeral Home, 3838 Airport Hwy. Funeral Services will be held on Monday, November 22, 2021, at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home. Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery.
