Stephen Bancer Sr.

Stephen Bancer, Sr., 79, of Toledo, passed away peacefully at Swan Pointe Care Center in Maumee.  He was born February 8, 1934 to Stanley and Frances (Masikowska) Bancer.  Stephen proudly served in the United States Marine Corp.  He worked for the Boilermakers Local 85 and retired from Consumer Power in Erie, Michigan.  Stephen was an avid fisherman and had a true love of animals, especially   his dogs Fritz, Mandy and Holly.
   Stephen was preceded in death by his parents; sisters Regina Glesmer, Stephanie Jaskolski, Mickey Dziedzic, Helen Gross; and brother, Ted Bancer.  Stephen is survived by his children, Stephen Jr. (Melody), Julie Holden and Jeffrey (Dana) Bancer; special nieces, Sue, Mary Ann and Joan; grandchildren, Stephen III, Brad, Jessica and Josh Holden; step-grandchildren, Zachary and Emily Earnest.
   Family and friends may visit at the W.K. Sujkowski & Son Funeral Home, 3838 Airport Hwy., on Thursday, August 22, 2013 from 6:00 p.m. until the time of Memorial Services at 8:00 p.m. Interment will be private.  In lieu of flowers, the family request donations to Gentiva Hospice of Toledo.
