James M. Batdorf, age 55, passed away on Wednesday August 8, 2012. Jim was born September 4, 1956 in Swanton, Ohio. Jim worked as a steel hauler many years and the last 5 years had devoted himself to being Operations Manager for Chase Freight Systems and Chase Steel Company.
    He was instrumental in all aspects of setting up and running both companies. In his spare time Jim enjoyed boating with friends on Lake Erie and vacationing in both Florida and Hawaii.
    Jim is survived by his loving wife of 33 years Darlene (Cousino) Batdorf; sons Bradley and Brandon (Stephanie) Batdorf; grandchildren Shana, Kayla and Ethan; father Glen (Nance) Batdorf; mother Barbara (Dave) Gallager; brothers Bill, Larry (Dora) and Doug (Donna) Batdorf; special friends Ed and Heather Luttke and “Papa Jim’s Girls” Makenzie and Madison.
     Family and friends may visit Sunday from 2-8 p.m. at the W. K. Sujkowski & Son Funeral Home, 3838 Airport Hwy., Toledo where funeral services will be held on Monday August 13, 2012 at 11 a.m.
    Tributes in Jim’s memory may be made to Hospice Caring Way, 230 Westfield Dr., Archbold, Ohio 43502
