Hugh C. Cox, age 79, passed away on Saturday January 19, 2013. Hugh was born in Toledo, Ohio on September 22, 1933; the son of W.C. and Beatrice (Hitchins) Cox. He was a 1952 graduate of Macomber High School. After graduation, Hugh entered the United States Navy where he retired as Chief Petty Officer with 20 years of dedicated service to the U.S. Military. Upon his retirement from the Navy, he worked as a mechanical maintenance engineer for Owens Illinois retiring with 20 years of service. Hugh loved vacationing with his family, was an avid reader, liked to work in his yard and enjoyed nature from his porch. He was also a former member of the Masons. By far, his greatest love of all was his family whom he cherished and relished in the time spent with them.
   Hugh was preceded in death by his parents, son Jason and sister Jean Cox Sampson. He is survived by his loving wife of 42 years Sharon (Truchan) Cox; daughter Jennifer (John) Rogers; brothers Richard (Jean), Gordon (Diana) and Byron (Linda) Cox; mother-in-law Evelyn Szaradowski; sisters-in-law Annette (Tom) Jagielski and Donna Maltman; brother-in-law Don Sampson and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
   Family and friends may visit on Friday from 2-8 p.m. at the W. K. Sujkowski & Son Funeral Home, 3838 Airport Highway where services will be held Saturday at 10:30 a.m. Interment with Military Honors will follow at Resurrection Cemetery.

I was reading the Toledo Blade today and happened upon Hughie's obituary. My husband Bob and I are so sorry for your loss! I haven't seen him in years. I am so happy he had a loving family!
