Ronald Gorny, 84, of Toledo, OH passed away on Monday, October 27, 2014 of natural causes.  He was born on July 7, 1930 to parents Ignatius and Angela (Pawlinski) Gorny.   Ronald served his country in the Army from 1951 to 1953.  He was employed for many years at Toledo Scale, then later in life at Mazda Motors in Flatrock, MI.  He was a member of the former Nativity Parish and St. Stanislaus Church, St. Charles Church and most recently Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church.  Ronald’s passion was Notre Dame Football which was handed down to the next generations and served as a rallying point for many a Saturday family gathering.  He was also an avid golfer and longtime member of the Buckskin Golf League at Detwiler Golf Course.  
Ronald was preceded in death by his loving wife Rita whom he was married to for 58 years; his parents; brothers, Richard, Robert and Ralph; and sister, Sr. Felice Gorny. Ronald was the last survivor of his generation.   He will be dearly missed by his sons, Michael (Maria) and Rick (Donna) Gorny; daughter, Paulette (John) Gray; grandchildren, Christie (Doug) Freytag, Shawn (Stephanie) Gorny, Andrea (Mike) Young, Jacob (Jennifer) Gorny, Joshua Gorny and Jonathon (Carrie) Gorny; 16 great grandchildren; special nieces Joanne Krall and Sharon Keller; special nephew, Dave Mowka; and additional nieces and nephews.  
   Family and friends may visit Thursday from 2-8 p.m., with a scripture service at 7:00 p.m. at the W. K. Sujkowski & Son Funeral Home, 3838 Airport Hwy.   Funeral services will begin with prayers in the mortuary at 9:15 a.m. on Friday, October 31, 2014 followed by the Funeral Mass at Our Lady of Perpetual Help at 10:00 a.m.  Interment will follow at Resurrection Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Hospice of Northwest Ohio or The Sisters of St. Francis (6832 Convent Blvd., Sylvania, OH 43560)
