Agnes R. Swiczkowski, age 81, passed away on Thursday, November 6, 2014.  She was born on December 30, 1932 the daughter of Joseph and Tekla (Kwiatkowski) Swiczkowski.  She worked at Pinkerton Tobacco before working at and retiring from General Motors Powertrain.  She was a member of UAW Local 14.  Agnes was a lifelong member of Our Lady of Lourdes Parish; a dedicated volunteer to the parish and a member of the Daughters of Mary.  She was a strong independent woman who loved her family and generations of nieces and nephews.  She was an amazing cook and baker.  Agnes worked tirelessly on her home and yard.  She was happiest when she was outside in the fresh air.
Agnes was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Walter, Stanley, Edward, Joseph Jr., Theodore, Anthony, Melvin, Raymond, Stephen, Daniel (Don) and Chester; sisters, Janina and Angeline.  Agnes is survived by her sister, Frances Lisenbee; sister-in-law, Mary Ellen Swiczkowski; and 4 generations of nieces and nephews.    
Family and friends may visit on Monday from 5-8p.m. and Tuesday from 2-8p.m. at the W.K. Sujkowski & Son Funeral Home, 3838 Airport Hwy., where rosary services will be held on Tuesday at 7:00p.m.  Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, November 12, 2014 with prayers in the mortuary at 9:15a.m. followed by the Funeral Mass at Our Lady of Lourdes Church at 10:00a.m.  Interment will follow at Resurrection Cemetery. Memorial contributions can be made to Our Lady of Lourdes Church We Build Campaign.

You have my deepest sympathy. Agnes was a wonderful person. She surely will be missed. I will always remember Aggie....she was one fine lady.
God was there with open arms to welcome her home.
My prayers and thoughts will be with the family on Wednesday.
