Irene H. Young, 97, of Toledo, passed away on December 24, 2020. She was born on May 8, 1923 to Walter and Mary (Pisarski) Paskiet in Toledo.
Irene worked for Champion Spark Plug, retiring after 30 dedicated years. She enjoyed crocheting and gardening and she was a terrific cook, especially her Polish coffee cakes. Irene and her late husband, Donald, also enjoyed their cottage at Jimmerson Lake in Angola, IN where they spent their time relaxing, fishing and visiting family.
Irene was preceded in death by her first husband, who was killed during World War II, Frank Mylek; second husband, Donald Young; and brother, Walter Paskiet Jr.. She will be dearly missed by her loving daughter, Barbara (Ron) Sharp; grandchildren, Cheryl Kaminski, Paul Kaminski, Michele (Brian) Snavely and Nicole Oberle; 10 great grandchildren; 7 great great grandchildren; and extended family and friends.
Visitation with social distancing will be held on Thursday, December 31, 2020 at the W.K. Sujkowski & Son Funeral Home, 3838 Airport Hwy., from 9:30 a.m. until the time of prayer services at 10:30 a.m. The Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. at St. Hyacinth Church. Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery.
