Phil J. Baranski, Sr., 68, passed away on February 7, 2021. He was born on November 11, 1952 to Robert and Theresa (Wolniewicz) Baranski in Toledo. Phil dedicated his life to helping others. There was never a time where he refused to lend a helping hand or invite anyone in for a drink and a friendly conversation. Phil worked tirelessly for M&M Heating and Cooling for over 30 years, making sure the families in the Toledo area were comfortable. Phil was also passionate about his kids and especially his grandkids, always attending endless amounts of volleyball, basketball, karate, cross country, band, and golf to support them. Phil was a skilled woodworker, carpenter, deck builder, and handyman. He was also known as “The Foreman”, since he was the go-to person in the family for all projects big and small.
Once retired, Phil spent his time fishing at the Merickel-Farley Trout Club, feeding the less fortunate at the Cherry Street Mission, and making sure his family was always taken care of.
Phil was preceded in death by his parents and daughter, Carrie Baranski. He will be dearly missed by his loving wife of 48 years, Robin (Rollins) Baranski; children, Jen (Joe) Howe and Phil (Jeni) Baranski, Jr.; grandchildren, Kylee, Charlie, Olivia, P.J., Molly, and Sam; brother, Paul (Sherry) Baranski; sister, Pamela (Kenneth) Freeman; and extended family and friends.
Visitation with social distancing will be held on Sunday from 4-8:00 p.m., with prayers services at 7:00 p.m., at the W.K. Sujkowski & Son Funeral Home, 3838 Airport Hwy. A Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, February 15, 2021 at St. Patrick of Heatherdowns Church at 11:00 a.m. (please visit and click on virtual Mass to live stream services). Interment will follow at Resurrection Cemetery. Memorial tributes may be directed to the Cherry Street Mission or St. Patrick of Heatherdowns Church.

Prayers and condolences to Robin and the Baranski Family. Phil and I go back to 1976 when I was his apprentice. I had the pleasure of working with him for several years and with many jobs. While we may not understand why God took him from us so soon, we can celebrate the fact that he was a blessing in so many lives, including mine.

Robin, Paul, Pam and families

I was so saddened (and shocked) at the passing of Phil. He was such a caring person -always willing to give a hand to anyone, always had a kind word for everyone, and gave me (his cousin) such great hugs when needed.

I am sorry I cannot be there to rejoice in his life. However, I already have signed on to watch on the St. Pats website. So,while I will not be there is person, I will definitely be there in spirit!

My prayers and best wishes go out to all of you.

So sad to hear of Phil's passing. I knew Phil through Robin, who I worked with at Churchill's. If I recall, I helped you move into your first house.

Phil helped us out with a new furnace/Air conditioner at our old home, and also a new air conditioner at our current home. He was ALWAYS very kind and made us feel comfortable, making the right choice for these needs. Always had the time for a small chat when I called M&M.

So sorry for your loss Robin.
